Jo Bornmann has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Most recently, they served as the Head of People and Capability at Pioneer Credit Limited starting in February 2023. Prior to that, Jo held various positions at RAC WA, including Culture, Capability & People Experience Senior Manager, People Strategy Senior Manager & Capability Lead, Project Lead & Business Integration Lead, Human Resources Business Partner, and Talent Acquisition Specialist for RAC Insurance. From 2006 to 2014, Jo worked at Pinnacle People Australia, where they served as the National Recruitment Manager and Executive Search & Selection specialist. Jo also worked as an Executive Manager in Food and Beverage at Rydges Hotels & Resorts from 1999 to 2005. Through these roles, Jo has gained extensive experience in HR, recruitment, talent acquisition, and business development.

Jo Bornmann has a diverse education history. In 1991-1992, they attended Edith Cowan University but did not complete their Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation. In 1985-1990, Jo completed their Senior education at Aranmore Catholic College. They later pursued a Postgraduate Degree, earning a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources from Griffith University in 2016-2017. In 2017, they also completed a course in Strategic Human Resource Management at the Australian Institute of Management. Their additional certifications include being trained in Dare to Lead™, being a Mental Health First Aider certified by Mental Health First Aid Australia, and a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) from Prosci ANZ. Jo also completed a program in Strategic Mindset at Black Point Consulting and a training course in Customer Experience from Forrester CX Pro (CX-I) in 2018.
