Zsuzsanna S. Etches

Zsuzsanna S. Etches has extensive work experience in the field of bioinformatics. Zsuzsanna is currently working as the Lead Bioinformatics Scientist at PipeBio since December 2020. Prior to this, they worked at QIAGEN for a significant period of time, holding multiple roles. From December 2018 to November 2020, they served as a Product Owner. Before that, they were a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist (April 2015 to November 2020) and a Bioinformatics Scientist (September 2013 to April 2015) at QIAGEN.

Zsuzsanna also has academic experience, having worked as a PhD student at the University of Aarhus, Department of Molecular Biology (iNano) and Bioinformatics Research Center from August 2009 to August 2013. Zsuzsanna also gained research experience as a Visiting Research student at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Summer student at the Technical University of Denmark in August-September 2008 and at Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy in August-September 2007 and August-September 2006.

Zsuzsanna S. Etches completed their education in a chronological order. Zsuzsanna began their tertiary education at the University of Copenhagen in 2005, where they studied Mathematics for one year. Zsuzsanna then transferred to the University of Cambridge in 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Sciences, focusing on Physics and Biochemistry. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2009, they enrolled at Aarhus University. At Aarhus, they obtained a Master of Science and Doctorate degree in Nanoscience, specializing in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics. Zsuzsanna'seducation at Aarhus University spanned from 2009 to 2013. In May 2013, they additionally obtained the certification of Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer from Oracle.
