Lígia Faria de Sousa's work experience begins in 2012 as a Sales Assistant at Benetton Group. In 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant at IPMA-Instituto Português do Mar e Atmosfera / IPIMAR, where they were involved in projects related to biodiversity in seamounts and the marine environment in Portugal. Lígia'sresponsibilities included communication strategies, scientific illustrations, and zooplankton identification and analysis. Lígia continued as a Research Assistant at IPMA from 2017 to 2020, working on the "PLANTROF" project, where they performed zooplankton sampling and oceanographic data processing. Currently, they are employed at Pipedrive as a Customer Solution Expert and later transitioned to the role of Customer Success Specialist.

Lígia Faria de Sousa pursued their education chronologically, starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a specialization in Marine Environmental studies at the University of Lisbon, from 2008 to 2012. Lígia then went on to complete a Master's degree in Scientific Illustration at ISEC - Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências / Universidade de Évora, studying there from 2012 to 2015.
