Maria Buitron

Maria Buitron has a diverse work experience in various industries. Maria is currently a Principal at Piva Capital since May 2022, where they are responsible for investment strategies and decision-making. Prior to this, Maria worked as an Investor at Piva Capital from July 2019 to May 2022. Maria also served as a Kauffman Fellow (Class 27) at Kauffman Fellows, a prestigious program in venture capital, starting in June 2022.

Maria gained valuable experience as a Business Development Summer Associate at Stem, Inc. in 2018, where they contributed to the growth and development of the company. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Consultant at Accenture from November 2015 to June 2017 and at Schlumberger Business Consulting from July 2013 to October 2015. Maria started their professional journey as a Process Engineer at KBR, Inc. in January 2013, where they honed their technical skills.

Throughout their career, Maria has demonstrated their ability to excel in different roles and industries. Their experience in venture capital, business development, consulting, and engineering positions their as a well-rounded professional with a wide range of skills and knowledge.

Maria Buitron completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2008 to 2013.
