Andrius Budrionis has worked in the field of data science and software engineering since 2006. From 2006 to 2012, they worked as a System Developer and Junior Research Fellow at PO Academy of Management and Business. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Researcher and PhD Candidate in Computer Science at Nasjonalt senter for samhandling og telemedisin. During this time, they developed and researched web-based video conferencing solutions for delivering e-health services over distance. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Senior Researcher and Data Scientist at Norwegian Centre for E-health Research, where they were involved in several projects in an intersection of data science, software engineering and healthcare. In 2019, they were a Data Scientist at Mindful Chef, and a Freelance Data Scientist and Data Science Fellow at Pivigo and Science to Data Science, respectively. At Pivigo, they provided data science and data engineering consultancy services and at Science to Data Science, they developed and deployed a recommender system.

Andrius Budrionis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University between 2004 and 2008. Andrius then went on to earn a Master's degree in the same field from the same university between 2008 and 2010. During this time, they also completed PhD courses in Computer Science. In 2011, they were a visiting researcher in Computer Science at North Carolina State University. From 2012 to 2015, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway. In 2017 and 2018, they were a visiting researcher in Process Mining at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). In 2020, they were a visiting researcher in Federated Machine Learning at Poznan University of Technology. Additionally, in 2018, they obtained a PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from PeopleCert.
