Shalaka Shinde

Shalaka Shinde is a highly experienced professional currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Pivot Bio since April 2022. With a strong background in scientific research and project management, Shinde previously worked as a Senior Scientist/Project Manager at Oil-Dri Corporation of America from July 2017 to April 2022, leading cross-functional teams in the development and commercialization of biostimulants and biocontrol products. Expertise includes charting product lifecycles, identifying user needs, and launching new products, alongside the invention of novel carriers that led to a US patent application. Prior experience includes serving as a Plant Physiologist at Argonne National Laboratory, where approximately $1M in funding was secured from the Department of Energy, and conducting research on plant-microbe interactions. Shalaka Shinde holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from West Virginia University, where early research focused on biofuels and plant-microbe interactions.
