Cecilia Viscarra

Cecilia Viscarra is a seasoned professional in plant breeding and research, currently serving as Breeding Manager for Black Raspberry at Plant Sciences, Inc. since September 2021. Prior experience includes a role as Research Technician at the University of Guelph and participation in a bean breeding project focused on genetic improvement of protein quality at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Cecilia's academic background encompasses a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Western University, a Master's in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Botany from Universidad Austral de Chile. Cecilia has also held positions as a Teaching Assistant and Plant Researcher at various institutions, contributing to significant agricultural research initiatives.
