Software Engineer (Backend) at Plantix

Carlos Ghabrous Larrea has worked in the software engineering and telecommunications industries since 2005. In 2005, they held a trainee and test engineer position at AT4 wireless' WiMAX certification laboratory. From 2007 to 2010, they worked at CERN in various roles, including Radio and GSM engineer, and Technical Student. From 2010 to 2016, they worked as a Software Developer in the L1 Trigger Online SW group at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, based at CERN. Currently, they are a Software Engineer (Backend) at Plantix, where they are helping millions of small scale farmers increasing their yields and improving their knowledge with a single picture taken with their mobile phones.

Carlos Ghabrous Larrea obtained a CSC certificate from the CERN School of Computing in 2009 in the field of Data technologies, base technologies, and physics computing. From 1998 to 2005, they earned an M. Sc. from the Universidad de Málaga in Telecommunication Engineering. In November 2020, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
