Dieter Hauwaerts

Dieter is responsible for all Quality and Regulatory activities at Plasma Industries. He has a long-standing track record in biotech and big pharma companies.

Before joining Plasma, Dieter worked as VP Operations at Celyad, where he was responsible for all process development, manufacturing, quality control and supply chain activities in EU and US.

He also acted as Director Manufacturing for TiGenix, as part of the team obtaining first approval of an Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product in Europe. Earlier, he oversaw the construction of a state-of-the-art commercial cell therapy facility and held various positions in the quality and supply chain organizations of Janssen Pharmaceutica (Belgium). As a graduate, he conducted research on microbial genetics at the University of Leuven.

Dieter holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven.
