Maya Isaila

Maya Isaila, MD, PhD has a range of work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical field. Maya is currently working as the Vice President Medical and Clinical Affairs at Prothya Biosolutions since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at UCB as a Senior Director, Global Medical Hematologic Indications Lead from 2020 to 2022. Maya also had a significant role as the Country Medical Director and Head of Medical Affairs - Canada at Jazz Pharmaceuticals from 2017 to 2020. Additionally, they worked as a Medical Development Director/ Therapeutic Area Head - Inflammation at Amgen from 2015 to 2017. Maya has experience as a Medical Advisor and Training Manager at Hospira - Canada from 2010 to 2015. Furthermore, they worked as a Clinical Development Physician - consultant at Servier from 2008 to 2010. Maya also had previous roles as a Consultant at Medochemie Ltd from 2006 to 2007 and in Clinical Haematology and Immunology at Biomedical Clinic from 2001 to 2006. Lastly, they worked as an Associate Professor in Histology and Cell Biology at Facultatea de medicina - Constanta from 1992 to 2001.

Maya Isaila, MD, PhD received their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medicine from Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie „Carol Davila” din București. Maya also obtained a Specialist degree in Hematology and Immunology from Centrul de Perfectionare a Cadrelor Medicale. In addition, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Histology from Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie din Craiova.
