Charlene Bunting has over 20 years of professional experience in software engineering, project management, and process improvement. Charlene began their career in 1999 as a Software Process Improvement Support/Empire TIME Administrator at John Hancock. In 2000, they moved to Gillette as a Capacity Planning Support and then to PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Ascent Instructor. In 2001, they returned to Gillette as an Electronic Data Interchange Coordinator. From 2002 to 2011, they worked at Cross Country Automotive Services in various roles, including Information Analyst, Network Business Analyst, and Customer Survey/Process Improvement Analyst. From 2011 to 2017, they were at Vistaprint in roles such as Software Development Manager, Product Owner, Channel Technology, and Sr. Project Manager. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Sr. Director of Software Engineering at Datto, Inc. and from 2019 to present, they are a Plato Mentor - Engineering Leadership at Plato. In 2022, they will become the Sr. Director of Engineering at Workiva.

Charlene Bunting's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems/Management from Northeastern University, which they obtained between 1997 and 2002. Charlene also attended the Yale School of Management Women's Leadership Program in 2017. In addition, Charlene holds a number of certifications, including Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance (obtained in April 2016), Kanban Management Professional from Lean Kanban Inc. (obtained in February 2016), Certified Agile Coach from ICAgile (obtained in March 2015), Project Management Professional from PMI MassBay Chapter (obtained in April 2009), and Six Sigma Green Belt from Villanova University.
