Jacopo Toccacieli

Mentor (Engineering Leadership) at Plato

Jacopo Toccacieli has worked in various roles since 2014. Jacopo began as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Ottawa, where they analyzed communication and protocols performances between vehicles in presence of obstacles. Jacopo then moved on to Software Engineer roles at Bumpn, Inc and DIVE Communications. In 2016, they became Manager, Software Development at FarmLead, where they were responsible for recruiting and hiring a diverse team of engineers for the core marketplace product. In 2019, they took on the role of VP, Engineering at Tehama, leading the Engineering and Product teams consisting of 40+ people. Jacopo also worked as Director, Engineering at Pythian, leading a team of 10+ engineers responsible for delivering an internal solution. In 2021, they took on the roles of Chief Operating Officer and VP, Engineering at ShippyPro, where they led 15+ developers responsible for the core business of ShippyPro. Jacopo also became a Mentor (Engineering Leadership) at Plato the same year. In 2022, they became a Member at Operators Guild.

Jacopo Toccacieli holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Engineering from the same institution. In February 2019, they obtained a Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org.
