Jim Sidler is an experienced software engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the technology industry. Jim began their career in 2007 as a Web Developer at FreeLife International. In 2010, they moved on to HigheredGrowth as a Ruby on Rails Web Application Developer. In 2011, they joined Apollo Group as a Software Engineer II. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Director of Software Development at Pathways TV. During this time, they designed, built, and maintained the full stack for the company's software offerings. Jim then moved on to Trax Technologies in 2014 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the technical lead and product owner for a major product initiative in R&D in an agile environment. In 2017, they joined RetailMeNot, Inc. as a Software Engineering Manager. During their time there, they managed 6 direct reports in addition to running agile project management for two teams of engineers building mobile apps and web services in AWS. In 2019, they began working at Hawaiian Airlines, where they held the roles of Sr. Manager, IT - Web Technologies, Sr. Manager, IT, Airport Operations - Above the Wing, Manager, Software Development Engineering, Airport Operations - Above the Wing, Manager, Software Development Engineering - Kiosk, and Manager, Software Development Engineering - Web. In 2021, they joined Plato as an Engineering Leadership Mentor, where they volunteer their time to help those looking for mentorship in leading an engineering organization. Jim also joined Plexus Worldwide as the Director of Software Engineering.

Jim Sidler obtained their Bachelor's degree in Media Arts with an emphasis in New Media and New Technologies from the University of Arizona in 2003. Jim also holds a Shopify Expert certification from Shopify.
