THE ROLE

PlayOn! Sports is looking for a a Motion Designer who is obsessed with design details and impact, as well as someone who possesses a technical expertise in animation, motion graphics, and video production.

We are looking for someone passionate about editing and telling amazing stories. From high-energy hype videos, thirty-second commercial spots, sales tapes, first-team player video series, and outside-the-box creative social media content to documentary-style storytelling, this role will have the opportunity to work with many different types of content. You will have the chance to help shape the visual identity of PlayOn video content. If that sounds exciting, this is the role for you!

Where you’ll Make an impact:

• Drive customer acquisition by creating compelling motion graphics, animations, and videos for marketing campaigns, social media, and digital channels • Create eye-catching product launch videos to generate buzz and attract new customers • Collaborate with UX/UI Designers, Marketing, Product Managers, and Senior Leadership to bring our brand message and product features to life • Stay ahead of industry trends, including AI, to continuously improve our visual content • Manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of creativity and production quality.

Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for this role could include:

• Concept Development: Work closely with the marketing, content and creative team to brainstorm and develop innovative motion graphics concepts.  • Design and Animation: Create high-quality motion graphics, animations, and video content that align with the brand’s visual identity and marketing goals.  • Storyboarding: Develop detailed storyboards and animatics to visualize project concepts and timelines.  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the video manager, designers, copywriters, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and effective visual communication.  • Feedback and Revisions: Incorporate feedback from clients and team members, making necessary revisions to achieve the desired outcome.  • Trends and Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends in motion design, animation techniques, and software advancements to continually improve the quality of work.  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, and other relevant tools to create motion graphics and animations.

THE PERSON

• B.A. in Visual Communication, Motion Graphics, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in video editing • 2+ years in Motion Graphics • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of motion design projects, highlighting creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other relevant motion design software (Cinema 4D, etc.).  • Creativity: Ability to generate original ideas and concepts that align with the brand’s vision and objectives.  • Sound Design: Basic understanding of sound design and its integration with motion graphics • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and rationale.  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset who can work well within a team environment, contributing positively to team dynamics.
