Kurt Wilson

Director of Operations at PlayPower

Kurt Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2013, they started their own consulting firm, Wilson Answers Consulting Services, where they represented manufacturing companies supplying combat gear to the Department of Defense. Kurt focused on Lean Manufacturing, business development, long and short term strategy development, supply chain management, negotiations, and cost savings analysis.

From 2014 to 2016, Kurt worked at Ingersoll Rand as a Senior Leader, Continuous Improvement, driving process improvement and Lean Manufacturing implementation at Club Car. Kurt successfully transformed the utility vehicle manufacturing line.

In 2016, Kurt joined Club Car as a Plant Manager, leading a team of over 650 employees. Kurt drove improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity, resulting in the best financial performance in 15 years for the company. Kurt also spearheaded the launch of a new Consumer Car product and implemented a Lean transformation throughout the organization.

From 2017 to 2019, Kurt served as the Vice President of Manufacturing at Exxel Outdoors, overseeing the largest sleeping bag manufacturing facility in the United States. Kurt had full P&L responsibility and ended 2017 with producing 2.2 million bags.

In 2019, Kurt joined the White River Marine Group, Ranger and Triton Boats as a Plant Manager. Kurt was responsible for the world's premiere bass and saltwater boat manufacturing facility. During their tenure, they exceeded budget requirements and increased production levels, all while introducing new models and strategically planning/executing outsourcing projects.

In 2020, Kurt became the Chief Operating Officer at OdoBan | Clean Control Corporation, where they planned and executed the largest line automation project in the company's history, completing it in just six months.

In 2021, Kurt started their own manufacturing consulting firm, KDW Mfg Consulting LLC, where they provided expertise as the Owner in areas such as Lean Manufacturing, strategy development, and supply chain management.

Most recently, in 2022, Kurt joined PlayPower, Inc. as a Director of Operations. Kurt has taken on the role of Senior Operations Consultant, providing expertise in operations management.

Kurt Wilson has a Master's Degree in Industrial Production Operations from the University of Arkansas, which they obtained from 1995 to 1996. Later, in 2007, they earned another Master's Degree in Strategic Studies from the Air War College. Kurt'sundergraduate education was completed from 1983 to 1986 at Southeast Missouri State University, where they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management.

In addition to their formal education, Kurt Wilson also holds certifications. Kurt obtained a Level III Acquisition Life Cycle Logistics certification from Headquarters Air Force in June 2003. Furthermore, they are certified as a 9 Step Problem Solving Certified, although the institution and specific date of obtaining this certification are not provided.
