Jay Friedland

Jay Friedland is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in advanced energy consultancy and public policy. Currently serving as CEO of Gridchange LLC since January 2018, Friedland leads initiatives in electric vehicles, renewable energy, and sustainable technologies. At Zero Motorcycles, Friedland holds the title of VP Government Relations & Public Policy, where key strategies for growth and significant policy achievements have been made. In addition, Friedland has been involved with Plug In America since October 2006, advocating for electric vehicles as a Senior Policy Advisor and previously as Legislative Director. Friedland co-founded Cinemagic Partners, Ltd, a consultancy for clean-tech ventures, and has held various leadership roles in technology firms, including Spyglass and Sun Microsystems. With degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering from Boston University, Friedland combines technical expertise with a commitment to sustainability and innovation in the energy sector.
