Adam Walter

Director, Hydrogen Project Management at Plug Power

Adam Walter has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Adam started their career as a Lifeguard at Saratoga Springs in 2004, followed by a role as a Collections Agent at Associated Students Recycling, California State University, Chico from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, they joined AE Biofuels, Inc. as a Marketing Support, where they managed customer relationships, provided logistics solutions, and assisted in growing sales and marketing revenue until 2011.

From 2011 to 2011, Adam worked as the Director of Project Development at Aemetis, Inc. (AMTX), where they managed the retrofit/restart of a commercial scale corn ethanol plant and the construction of a cellulosic ethanol pilot plant. Adam also led grant writing efforts, managed federal and state reporting requirements, and captured incentives.

In 2012, Adam joined Propel Fuels as a Program Manager, overseeing the design and engineering of new renewable fuel filling stations in California. Adam later served as the Director of Construction, leading an aggressive development effort and managing the installation of underground storage tanks and fuel dispensers until 2015.

In the same year, Adam briefly worked as the Manager of International Development Services at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. before joining Plug Power, Inc. as the Director of Hydrogen Project Management. In this role, they provided dynamic leadership to project managers, ensuring the timely and high-quality deployment of hydrogen infrastructure for Plug Power's GenFuel offering.

Throughout their career, Adam Walter has demonstrated strong project management skills, leadership abilities, and expertise in the renewable energy and alternative fuels industry.

Adam Walter completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business at Clarkson University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Music from California State University, Chico, where they attended from 2002 to 2006. Adam also attended De Anza College but the start and end years, as well as the degree and field of study, are unknown. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in May 2013.
