SENIOR CLOUD CONSULTANT - INFRASTRUCTURE

LOCATION: Remote (Must be in DMV)

CLEARANCE LEVEL: Secret, but must be willing to get a TS or higher

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design, develop, build and evaluate high impact solutions using best practices to solve customers’ diverse challenges across the department of defense and national security landscape
  • Interact with the customer directly to understand their business problems, help with identifying pain points and solutions that meet their needs at all phases of their cloud journey
  • Work collaboratively with other consultants, participating in daily scrum activities and related ceremonies
  • Write documentation in the form of runbooks, diagrams, and other relevant material that supports customer requirements and deliverables
  • Travel to customer sites on occasion (up to 25% travel)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Customer facing skills with ability to drive discussions with customer engineers as well as senior stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with public sector, governance and compliance in the cloud, NIST SP 800-53, FEDRAMP, DOD cloud computing security requirements guide (CC SRG), DOD secure cloud computing architecture (SCCA), DOD architecture framework (DODAF), and other relevant frameworks
  • Knowledge of and experience with assisting customers in their migration journey, from greenfield customers to experienced customers with varying degrees of cloud usage
  • 3+ years full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • At least 8+ years of IT implementation experience in the public sector, Department of Defense, and/or national security industry
  • At least 5+ years of experience delivering modern technology stacks using cloud services, such as microservices and infrastructure-as-code
  • Hands-on experience in the development and deployment of an application or infrastructure to support applications
  • Hands-on experience in architecting and solutioning highly available distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing continuous integration platforms, network, compute, storage, and containers
  • Experience programming in two or more programming languages, including languages supporting Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field. Equivalent experience considered
