Wilbur D'Mello

VP Certification (pminac) at PMI Northern Alberta Chapter

Wilbur D'Mello, PMP has a diverse range of work experience. Wilbur is currently serving as the VP Certification at PMI Northern Alberta Chapter (PMINAC) where they have been since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Project Manager at TELUS starting in 2021. Wilbur also had a role at PMINAC as the Director of the Study Group Program, assisting PMP and CAPM aspirants to pass their certifications. Wilbur also played a key role in the development and rollout of the ACP study group. In 2020, Wilbur worked as a Program Coordinator at the University of Alberta, managing and monitoring the program/project lifecycle. Prior to that, they held various roles at the University of Alberta including IT Infrastructure Analyst & Project Lead, Project Lead & Program Coordinator, and Computer Operator. Before their time at the University of Alberta, Wilbur worked at CIBC as a Financial Services Representative and at IDBI Intech as a Network Administrator. Wilbur began their career at Tech Enterprises as a Senior Desktop Engineer.

Wilbur D'Mello, PMP has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, which they obtained in 2005. Wilbur later pursued a Master's in Commerce with a focus on Commercial Management from the same university, completing it in 2007. In 2015, Wilbur began studying Information Technology Management at the University of Alberta, specializing in Management Information Systems, General, and graduated in 2017. In terms of certifications, Wilbur obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2020. Wilbur also holds various other certifications, including Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals, ITIL® 4 Foundation CPD, and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA).
