Kat Balleh

Kat Balleh has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2016, they worked as an Instructor at Bahcesehir University and continued in that role until 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they served as a Social Media Coordinator at Safe Place International, where they managed social media accounts and created content to promote the organization's work. In 2018, they also worked as a Marketing and Communications Consultant at NaTakallam. From 2017 to 2019, they held the position of Communications Manager at Country for Syria. Starting in 2019, they transitioned to the technology sector, first as an Associate, Domain Expert at Dataminr, and later as a Senior Associate, Domain Expert. In 2020, they worked at Twitter as a News Curator until 2023. In the same year, they joined IntelyCare as a Performance Content Editor before moving on to Stealth Mode Media as a Content Strategist. Most recently, they have been working as a Content Curator at Pocket and is currently employed as an Engagement Editor at LinkedIn.

Kat Balleh's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from Brown University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2014. In 2012, they participated in the Critical Language Scholarship program for Persian in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Kat also attended Casa de las Americas in the same year to study Cuban history and culture. In 2013, they attended Koç University, where they focused on International Relations. Finally, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Journalism and Near Eastern Studies at New York University.
