Yiwei Sun

Yiwei Sun is a Senior Data Scientist at Polen Capital. Prior to joining Polen Capital, Yiwei worked as a Data Scientist at State Street from February 2019 to October 2021. In this role, Yiwei was responsible for classified client trading accounts data by volume trend analysis with Random Forest in R and decision rules in SQL to automate anomaly detection process and improved the efficiency of customer segmentation for sales and marketing teams. Yiwei also created interactive dashboard for High-Low price distribution of core products to analyze volatility in trading hours, and developed Liquidity Deck Report for all CME Group offices in APAC, EMEA and North America for customer reference.

From October 2018 to December 2018, Yiwei worked as a Data Science Consultant. In this role, Yiwei was responsible for improving pricing and sales data quality in Hadoop and Oracle Database and designed testing for new liquidity tool.

Prior to their role as a Data Science Consultant, Yiwei interned as Business Intelligence Intern at CME Group from June 2018 to December 2018. In this role, Yiwei was responsible for visualizing average daily volume and revenue in Tableau for ad-hoc analysis to generate business opportunities in real time.

Yiwei Sun earned a Bachelor of Arts in Statistics from Boston University. Yiwei then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Statistics from Boston University. Finally, they earned a Master of Science in Analytics from Northwestern University.
