Melly Mérida (she/her)

Melly Mérida has worked in various roles since 2015. Melly began their career at the California Department of Education in the English Learner Support Division Office. In 2016, they moved to the University of California, Los Angeles, where they served as Assistant Resident Director. During their time there, they oversaw the inaugural year of the First to Go Living Learning Community and spearheaded the administration and organization of the online application for 900+ RA candidates and group interviews for 250+ within an ingrown database, resulting in a 4-month recruitment process to be redesigned to a 2-month recruitment process saving approximately $315,000. In 2018, they joined the University of San Francisco as Operations Manager and Assistant Residence Director. Currently, they are employed at Poll Everywhere as Talent Acquisition Lead, People Operations Associate, and Office Manager & Recruiting Coordinator.

Melly Mérida holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Arts from the University of San Francisco. Her field of study for their M.A. was Higher Education/Organization and Leadership. Melly also holds a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, obtained in May 2021.
