Elvira Joana Ferreira Peralta

Elvira Joana Ferreira Peralta is a highly experienced Principal Scientist at Polyglass U.S.A., Inc. / Mapei since October 2018. Previously, Elvira held positions at Wacker Chemical Corporation, including Lead of Wacker's Global Competence Center, focusing on training and disseminating information among global technical centers, and Business Development Chemist, where interactions with customers led to formulation designs for various asphalt applications. Elvira's academic journey includes post-doctoral research at Iowa State University and the University of Minho, with a focus on developing bio-renewable asphalt binders. Elvira earned a PhD in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and Universidade do Minho, complemented by a Master's degree in Highways Engineering and a Licentiate degree in Chemical and Biologic Engineering.
