Sergi Mata

Sergi Mata has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sergi currently serves as the VP and Head of Business Development for EMEA and LATAM at Polygon Labs, a company leading the transition to web3. Prior to this, Sergi worked at Catalonia Trade & Investment as the Director of the New York office, where they advised American investors and helped client companies expand their presence in the U.S. Sergi also held the position of Director of the Washington DC office at the same company. Before joining Catalonia Trade & Investment, Sergi worked at ACCIÓ as the International Business Development Director and Deputy Director of the International Division, overseeing the operations of international branches. Sergi'searly career includes a role as a Consulting Project Manager at Grant Thornton.

Sergi Mata has a diverse education history. In 1994 to 1999, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Esade. Later, in 1998 to 1999, they attended the University of Cologne for International Management studies. In 2013 to 2014, they furthered their education at IESE Business School, completing the IESE PDG programme (Programa Dirección General). Recently, in 2019 to 2020, they engaged in studies at Harvard University in the field of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Finally, in 2021, they attended the University of Oxford for the Oxford Fintech Programme.
