We are transforming outcomes for pregnant people and babies with evidence-based pregnancy and newborn care at scale. Our technology-driven care platform enables us to engage patients early, conduct individualized risk assessments for poor pregnancy outcomes, and deliver coordinated, personalized virtual care throughout pregnancy, NICU stays, and the first postpartum year. We measure ourselves by reductions in preterm births, NICU admissions, c-sections and maternal mortality; we improve outcomes and reduce healthcare spend.

Role Description

Your north star: As the Director of Market Operations, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing clinical pod operations to surpass financial objectives while enhancing patient outcomes. You will lead a diverse team of multi-specialty clinicians, outreach specialists, and support personnel across multiple care delivery pods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the operations of various care delivery pods, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and values. Drive initiatives to exceed growth targets, profitability goals, and clinical outcomes metrics.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with marketing, population health, and clinical teams to establish patient engagement and outcomes goals for each care delivery pod. Foster a collaborative environment to achieve shared objectives.
  • Performance Accountability: Assume responsibility for pod performance, monitoring progress against established goals. Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas of success and opportunities for improvement, ensuring adherence to high standards of quality care.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze relevant data and metrics to gain comprehensive insights into pod performance. Utilize findings to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Innovation and Process Improvement: Develop and implement plans to test new ideas and processes within care delivery pods. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance performance and exceed goals through innovation and optimization.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize processes within care delivery pods. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement improvements and provide constructive feedback.
  • Team Leadership and Communication: Co-lead daily huddles for the clinical team alongside pod provider leads, fostering effective communication and collaboration. Cultivate a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

Who you are

  • Passionate about maternal and child health Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in healthcare operations management, with a focus on optimizing clinical workflows and achieving financial targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve strategic objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company’s size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Pomelo Care. In accordance with New York City, Colorado, California, and other applicable laws, Pomelo Care is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $155,000-$175,000. We expect most candidates to fall in the middle of the range. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration, so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
