THE ROLE
The Business Unit Vice President (BU VP) is a self-led, resourceful, and pivotal leader responsible for achieving poppi’s ambitious growth goals. Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, the BU VP will drive strategic execution within their business unit, accountable for sales performance, customer relations, and profitability targets.
The BU VP is responsible for translating high-level strategic goals into actionable plans within their region, overseeing Field Sales Directors, and ensuring alignment with poppi’s objectives. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management, fostering a high-performing, results-driven team culture to support sustained market expansion.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Collaborative Business Planning: Partner with department heads on short and long-term planning and budgeting aligned with poppi’s strategic goals.
- Organizational Design: Ensure an effective organizational structure that supports business growth with minimal disruption.
- KPI Implementation & Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs to ensure Directors consistently meet or exceed targets.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong, best-in-class relationships with distribution and retail customers.
- Data-Driven Performance Management: Utilize syndicated data to assess performance, drive improvements, and explore new opportunities.
- Market & Industry Insight: Stay updated on market trends and competitor actions to inform consumer strategy.
- Accountability & Data Integrity: Uphold accountability processes, conducting audits to ensure data accuracy and transparency.
- Collaborative Team Culture: Cultivate a culture of trust, accountability, and performance, empowering team members to reach their potential.
- Budget & Financial Management: Work with finance to manage budgets and accruals accurately, supporting annual and monthly reporting.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Collaborate with finance and sales operations on rolling forecasts and annual budgets to guide production, budgeting, and capital planning.
- Leadership & Professionalism: Act as a mentor and coach, setting a high standard of professionalism and integrity.

YOUR BACKGROUND
- 10+ years of CPG sales leadership experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or related field preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Travel requirements: 60%
- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for special assignments.
- Willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business demands.

COMPENSATION: Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $150,000 - $175,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
