As Director, Pierre helps to oversee the Support for International Family Planning Organizations 2 (SIFPO2) Program, funded by USAID.
Prior to moving to Washington D.C. in 2014, Pierre spent a decade delivering national sexual and reproductive health programs in East & Southern Africa and humanitarian programs in Central Africa, the Horn of Africa and Latin America. Pierre has led programs on HIV prevention among key populations in Ethiopia & Angola, Integrated Health social marketing programs in Tanzania and Angola and a regional program on increasing national government coordination and investment in RH supplies in Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda.
Pierre has published writings on social franchising, family planning in Universal Health Coverage, advocacy for RH supplies, HIV prevention for Key Populations and the challenges of development NGO regulation in low income countries. Pierre has been involved in numerous global and national partnerships, including programs in support of the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition and partnering on global initiatives such as ICPD@10 and ICPD@20.
He holds a Master in Public Health from the University of Manchester in UK and a Bachelor in Social Psychology from the University of Sussex. Pierre is fluent in French.
