Job Summary 

The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we'd love for you to be a part of it as our FP&A Manager for our Inspection and Real Estate (IRE) Group. 

This is a mission-critical role for the business. The FP&A Manager for IRE is a key and highly visible position that will be partnering with business leaders across Porch, accounting, analytics, and HR to provide insights and guidance on the company's financial performance. This role requires strong business acumen, keen attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent Excel and data mining skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, communicating with multiple business partners, deep dive analytics, and an effective communicator.  

We are looking for someone who loves partnering with others, as well as building and maintaining P&L to support decision marking 

What You Will Do As A FP&A Manager 

  • You will serve as a hands-on business partner for your division; collaborate across multiple teams, providing financial support and key insights to BU leaders.  
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the divisions. 
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles (quarterly) for your businesses. 
  • Review month-end results with your division; understand the numbers and division performance. 
  • Constantly improve and maintain budget and forecast models for the P&L for your division. 
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies to optimize financial performance. 
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of complex financial information utilizing judgment and discretion. 
  • Identify trends, variances, and key issues and provide recommendations to leadership. 
  • Deliver innovative, high-value-added financial information and support analysis to leadership for strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Understand and focus on investment returns/capital allocation, unit economics, and payback.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis in a variety of areas.

What You Will Bring As A FP&A Manager 

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in financial background or in a similar role, preferably in the home buying and/or SaaS industry.  
  • Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced evolving, growing business.  
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting experience.  
  • Experience and understanding with US GAAP. 
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts. 
  • Strong acumen with data manipulation and work in a system; quick learner who is passionate about constant improvement and openly welcomes feedback regarding any aspect of work performance. 
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with business partners at various levels in a clear, concise, and respectful manner. 
  • Proven experience working with US based business teams. 
  • Excellent written and communication skills, both English and Hindi
  • Strong work ethic, willing to work hard with extra effort when needed to get the job done. 
  • Intellectually curious self-starter who is fearless in seeking out projects independently. 
  • High attention to detail and willingness to dig into the numbers to gain key insights. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel / PowerPoint and financial modeling skills. 
  • Tableau and NetSuite experience is a plus. 
  • Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap. 
  • Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload
