Job Summary

This is a mission-critical role for the business. The Financial Analyst Marketing Group is a key and highly visible position that will be partnering with business leaders across Porch, accounting, analytics, and HR to provide insights and guidance on the company's financial performance. This role requires strong business acumen, keen attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent Excel and data mining skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, communicating with multiple business partners, deep dive analytics, and an effective communicator.  

We are looking for someone who loves partnering with others and supporting the building and maintaining of the P&L to support decision-marking.

What You Will Do As A Senior Financial Analyst: 

• You will serve as a hands-on business partner for your division. Collaborate across multiple teams, providing financial support and key insights to BU leaders.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the divisions.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles (quarterly) for your division.
• Review month-end results with your division. Understand the numbers and division performance.
• Assist in improving and maintaining budget and forecast models for the P&L for your division.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies to optimize financial performance.
• Deliver innovative, high-value-added financial information and support analysis to leadership for strategic planning and decision-making.
• Report and be able to speak to financial results and related implications monthly to senior level managers and key stakeholders. Identify key risks and opportunities.
• Provide analysis and interpretation of complex financial information utilizing judgement and discretion.
• Identify trends, variances, and key issues and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Deliver innovative, high value-added financial information and support analysis to leadership for strategic planning and decision making.
• Understand and focus on investment returns/capital allocation, unit economics, payback, LTV to CAC ratio.
• Update and summarize weekly dashboard reports for BU leaders.
• Assist in updating and tracking monthly KPIs & OKRs for each BU.
• Perform ad hoc analysis in a variety of areas.
• This role will report to the Marketing Sr. Finance Manager.

What You Will Bring As A Senior Financial Analyst: 

• 7+ years minimum business experience with 4-6 years or more in Finance
• Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced evolving, growing business. 
• Strong budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Experience and understanding with US GAAP.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as LTV to CAC, unit economics, EBITDA, etc.
• Strong acumen with data manipulation and ERP systems.
• Quick learner who is passionate about constant improvement.
• Openly welcomes feedback regarding any aspect of work performance.
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with business partners at various levels in a clear, concise, and respectful manner.
• Strong work ethic, willing to work hard with extra effort when needed to get the job done.
• Intellectually curious self-starter who is fearless in seeking out projects independently.
• High attention to detail and willingness to dig into the numbers to gain key insights.
• Proven experience working with US based business teams
• Excellent written and communication skills, both English and Hindi
• Can work independently without close supervision yet knows when to ask for help.
• Team player who fits our culture and enjoys building solid relationships with appropriate professionalism, humor, and humility.
• Capable of analyzing and managing data with a strong focus on data integrity and accuracy
• Advanced Microsoft Office Excel / PowerPoint and financial modeling skills.
• Tableau and NetSuite and Oracle Smart View experience is a plus.
• Knowledge in business data analysis and data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI) a plus
• Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap
