Gary Holdforth

Head Of HR Operations at Port of London Authority

Gary Holdforth has over 20 years of work experience in HR and personnel roles. Gary started their career in 1996 as a Personnel Officer at the Metropolitan Police before moving on to become a Senior Personnel Officer at Bexley Council. In 2000, they joined the Royal College of General Practitioners as a Personnel Officer and then took on the role of HR Manager at The Adolescents and Childrens Trust in 2002. Gary is currently the Head of HR Operations at the Port of London Authority, a position they have held since 2002.

Gary Holdforth completed their secondary education at Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School from 1980 to 1985. Gary then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma (PGdip) in Human Resource Management at London South Bank University from 1997 to 2000. Later, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Strategic HR from Manchester Open Learning/Liverpool John Moores University between 2009 and 2010.
