Kelley Bonsall

Kelley Bonsall has a strong background in communications and public relations. Kelley is currently a Member at Chief, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the Port of Portland as the Director of Marketing and Communications from 2017 to the present. In this role, they led media relations, employee communications, executive communications, social media, marketing, and digital communications. Kelley reorganized the communications team and created an innovative communications strategy for a large construction program.

From 2013 to 2016, Kelley served as the Vice President of Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at LifeLock. At Levi Strauss & Co., where they worked from 2009 to 2013, they held the position of Senior Director of Global Corporate Communications. Here, they managed the global corporate media team and established the company as a leading voice on environmental issues.

Prior to joining Levi Strauss, Kelley worked at Yahoo as the Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Communications from 2007 to 2009. Kelley directed global external and employee communications strategy on public policy issues and managed crisis communications. Kelley also spearheaded an outreach effort on consumer privacy that gained major media coverage.

Before their time at Yahoo, they were a Senior Account Executive at Storefront Political Media where they provided management and communications strategy for political candidates and corporations. Kelley worked on the John Kerry Presidential campaign in 2002 as the Deputy Communications Director and served as the Press Secretary for Senator John Kerry from 1998 to 2002.
