Erica Nogueira

Program Manager, Parks & Recreation at Port of San Diego

Erica Nogueira started their work experience in 2005 as a Production Manager and Senior Sales Associate at Konditor Meister, where they managed orders and provided personalized customer service. In 2006, they worked as a Vocal Coach and Teaching Assistant at Filedheacht Music School, where they instructed students and supervised them. From 2007 to 2014, they held multiple roles at The French Gourmet, including Sales Associate, Administrative Assistant, and Delivery personnel. In 2008, they worked as a Public Relations Consultant at SWAT Communications Consulting, where they developed and executed a PR campaign for AleSmith Brewery. During the same year, they also served as a Conference Planning Intern and Assistant Event Manager at the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA). In 2009, they joined Alliant International University as a Center Director, and later became the Outreach and Communications Coordinator and Marketing and Communications Manager. In 2016, they were promoted to Director of Marketing and was responsible for creating and leading a diverse team and overseeing various marketing campaigns. Finally, in 2020, they became a Program Manager for Parks & Recreation at the Port of San Diego.

Erica Nogueira completed their Bachelor's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Alliant International University from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Liberal Arts Studies from Massasoit Community College from 2004 to 2006. In 2003, Erica briefly attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, studying Fashion Merchandise Marketing, although they did not obtain a degree from there. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) through Yoga Alliance in March 2019. Erica also obtained certifications in Business Writing from San Diego State University, College of Extended Studies in April 2014, and Making Sense of Data from Google in April 2014.
