Ryan Mears has a diverse work experience in various managerial and operational roles. Ryan started their career at Royal Mail as a Delivery Office Manager in 2000 and worked there until 2005. Ryan then joined DHL as a Shift Manager and remained in that role until 2010. In the same year, they also worked as a Shift Manager at Wincanton. From 2010 to 2016, Ryan held the position of Operations Manager at Clipper Logistics Group Ltd. Ryan then moved on to BAKO North Western Group, where they served as General Manager from 2017 to 2019. Following that, they worked as Head of Operations at Bidvest Foodservice from 2016 to 2017. From 2019 to 2020, Ryan held the position of Warehouse General Manager at Morrisons. Most recently, they served as General Manager at AAH Pharmaceuticals from 2020 to 2022. Since June 2022, Ryan has been the Head of Operations at Port of Tyne.
Ryan Mears attended Teesside University from 2008 to 2009, where they obtained a Foundation degree in Business Management. Prior to that, they attended Hurworth between 1991 and 1996, but the degree and field of study are unknown. Ryan also has additional certifications, including IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Health and Safety Leadership Excellence, both obtained in 2019. In 2011, they obtained a Certificate of Professional Competence, but the institution is unknown.
