Michael Hynes is currently the superintendent of the Port Washington Union Free School District. Prior to their current position, they were a speaker at TEDx, the superintendent of schools for the Patchogue-Medford School District, and the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction for the Plainedge School District. Michael has also been an adjunct assistant professor at Dowling College and a superintendent of schools for the Shelter Island School District.
Michael Hynes has a Doctor of Education from Dowling College in Educational Administration and Technology, a Post Graduate Certificate in School Business Administration and Management, General from Stony Brook University, a Certificate in Principals’ Center-Urban Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Dowling College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bethany College.
