Peter Korsen

Peter Korsen is a Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) Consultant at Porthos, providing advisory services focused on risk management for a new Carbon Storage Asset in the Netherlands. With extensive experience at Chevron from May 2003 to December 2021, Peter held various leadership positions including Manager of Technology and Reservoir Management, where responsibilities encompassed leading petro-technical teams, managing technology budgets, and developing strategies for CO2 injection projects. Earlier roles at Chevron involved significant contributions to deepwater projects in the Gulf of Mexico and asset development for heavy oil reserves in California. Peter's career began at Noble Corporation, BP, and Haliburton, where expertise as a Drilling Engineer was developed. Peter holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
