Lev Kokotov

Lev Kokotov has a diverse work experience, starting from 2009 when they worked as an IT Technician while being self-employed. From 2011 to 2014, they worked in sales at Hudson's Bay Company. Lev then transitioned into web development, working as a Full Stack Developer for Freelance Web Development and RuveneCo INC from 2014 to 2016. During this time, they completed notable projects such as a PHP content management system for a non-profit organization and an e-learning platform for a tutoring company. Lev also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Concordia University from 2016 to 2017.

In 2016, they joined BEEM HQ as a Full Stack Developer, where they built a React & Django app for tracking rental vehicle fleets and bootstrapped machine learning apps for predictive vehicle maintenance. Following this, Lev worked as a Senior Software Developer at Paladin AI in 2017, where they built a custom ML training platform and an MVP for a flight simulator web app.

From 2018 to 2022, Lev worked at Instacart as a Senior Software Engineer, initially as an Application & Platform Engineer and later as an Infrastructure Engineer. During this time, they played a key role in rewriting order tipping and rating flows using RoR and React, as well as executing challenging database migrations using Postgres.

Most recently, in 2022, Lev founded PostgresML and assumed the role of Founder & CTO. Additionally, Lev also worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Lattice in early 2022.

Lev Kokotov has a diverse educational background. Lev started their education at Dawson College, where they obtained a Diplôme d'études collégiales in Law & Society, completing their studies there from 2010 to 2012. Following this, Lev enrolled at McGill University from 2012 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on Political Science and Computer Science.

Continuing their academic journey, Lev attended Concordia University from 2015 to 2017, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. After completing their studies at Concordia, Lev obtained additional certification as a Triplebyte Certified Generalist Software Engineer from Triplebyte in August 2020.
