Angelica Barragan-Su

Angelica Barragan-Su has extensive work experience in the education field, primarily in the Poway Unified School District. Angelica started as a Bilingual Teacher in the Montebello Unified School District in 1998 and later joined the Poway Unified School District in 2003 as a Dual Language Teacher. In 2010, they became a Teacher on Special Assignment, where they served until 2016. During this time, they took on the role of Assistant Principal on Special Assignment, managing the X-Ploration Program. In 2017, they were promoted to Assistant Principal at Stone Ranch Elementary School. Finally, in 2020, they transitioned to the position of School Principal in the Poway Unified School District.

Angelica Barragan-Su has a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of California, Irvine, which they obtained from 1992 to 1998. Angelica then received a Multiple Subject Credential from California State University-Los Angeles from 1998 to 2000. In 2002 to 2005, Angelica pursued a Master of Arts degree in Reading Teacher Education from San Diego State University-California State University. Angelica later completed a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential from San Diego County Office of Education between 2014 and 2016. Lastly, they obtained a Clear Administrative Credential in Elementary and Middle School Administration/Principalship from San Diego County Office of Education from 2017 to 2018.
