Karine Valença started their work experience as a Quality Assurance Intern at PDVend in 2017. Karine then worked as a QA Lead at EuSouElliot from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, they joined IBM as an Application Developer and worked there until 2021. Currently, they are working as a Back End Developer at Powder.

Karine Valença obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Universidade de Brasília, where they studied from 2013 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Karine has also acquired several certifications and completed various courses. Karine achieved the Upper Advanced CEFR Level C2 certification from EF English Live in May 2021. In January 2021, they completed the "Complete Guide to Protocol Buffers 3 [Java, Golang, Python]" course from Udemy. Karine obtained the IBM Recognized Speaker/Presenter certification from IBM in June 2020. Karine also completed the "Web Development w/ Google’s Go (golang) Programming Language" and "The Complete React Native + Hooks Course [2020 Edition]" courses from Udemy in May 2020 and March 2020 respectively. Additionally, Karine became an Open Source Committer and Open Source Contributor at IBM in March 2020. Karine'seducation journey also includes completing "The Web Developer Bootcamp" course from Udemy in September 2019.
