Power Equipment was established on October 1st, 1990 and is the exclusive authorised Australian, New Zealand, PNG and the South Pacific Distributor of Yanmar Marine and Industrial diesel engines importing product from Yanmar plants all around the world.

Power Equipment is also the exclusive authorised Distributor of John Deere Power Systems for Marine and Industrial diesel engines in both Australia and New Zealand. This appointment was effective July 1st, 2017.

Additional products distributed exclusively by Power equipment include PSS Shaft Seals, MASE and Northern Lights Marine Generators, Gori Propellers, Torqeedo Electric Outboard Motors, OXE, Dtorque and COX Diesel Outboard Motors.

Power Equipment’s growth has led to the formation and development of branches throughout Australia and New Zealand. Its Head Office is housed in a very modern purpose-built facility in Melbourne, Victoria with branch offices located in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. In New Zealand its head office is located in Auckland, with a branch office in Christchurch.

Power Equipment has achieved an excellent reputation as a high quality supplier of engines and associated products, through an extensive Dealer and branch network, and it has a very mature state-of-the-art infrastructure which has been created by continuous reinvestment by the founders.

Power Equipment contributes much of its success to acquiring the distribution rights to quality products, and backing this up with a total commitment to customer satisfaction both within its Dealer Networks and end users. To support this it also carries substantial stock holdings of products and parts.
