Ryota Soshino

Senior EV Charger Product Manager at PowerFlex

Ryota Soshino has held various roles in different companies over the years. Ryota worked as an intern in Global Marketing at Sony in 2015, where they proposed a successful marketing strategy to introduce health-control apps to the Mexican market. After the internship, they received a job offer for the international sales and marketing division. Ryota began working at Toyota Tsusho Corporation in 2016, where they served as an associate in Machinery Department and later worked with energy startups in California as an Associate at the Renewable Power Project Department. Ryota persuaded Toyota Tsusho leadership to invest in Nuvve Corporation's V2G technology, which created a marketplace for EV owners to sell their electricity back to the grid, which helped TTC scale and bring V2G tech to market. In 2018, Ryota became the Project Manager of the First-ever V2G project in Japan, which proved that the new V2G technology can stabilize the output of renewable energy, which leads to regulatory changes in Japan and opens doors for V2G commercialization. Ryota left Toyota Tsusho Corporation in 2020 and joined Electriphi Inc, where they served as an Implementation Manager, leading engineers for four of Electriphi's software implementation processes with customers in 2-month periods, delivering Electriphi's software with the charger to customers without any delays. Ryota worked with Zoox, serving as a Procurement and Strategic Partnership (EV Charging Management) in 2021 and a Strategic Sourcing Manager in 2022. In 2023, Ryota started to work at PowerFlex as a Senior EV Charger Product Manager. Ryota also served as a committee member of VPP Committee at The Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association(JEMA) and National Committee for Electrical Measurement Laws (JEMIC) from October 2019 to June 2020.

Ryota Soshino has a Bachelor's degree from Waseda University, where they studied in the School of International Liberal Studies. Ryota also participated in an exchange program at the University of California, Davis, although the specific field of study is unknown.
