Sherwood M. Merrill has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Sherwood started their career in 1996 as the Director of Sales, Chief Operating Officer, and Regional Vice President at George L. Johnston/ Pameco, where they managed operations and profit and loss for a regional distribution facility and sales office. From 2000 to 2003, they worked as a Sales and Staffing Consultant, providing sales and operational solutions to small family-owned businesses. In 2003, they became an Operational Manager at The Bartech Group. From 2004 to 2010, they served as the Facilities Management Operations Director at Powerlink Facilities Management Service, overseeing operations and P&L management for various facilities. Sherwood then founded Piper Strategic Solutions, a management consulting firm, where they worked from 2011 to 2014, assisting small businesses in operational management and customer service. In 2014, they joined Coverall Health-Based Cleaning System as a Business Development Manager, responsible for developing and closing business relationships. Currently, they are the Director of Operations and Compliance at Powerlink Healthcare Support Services, where they direct and oversees the organization's activities and quality initiatives.

Sherwood M. Merrill attended the University of Michigan from 1980 to 1985, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. Sherwood focused their studies on Political Science and History during their time at the university.
