Tom Mielczarski has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering field since 2004. Tom began their career as a Research Engineer at Sevcon in 2004. In 2008, they took on a role as a Project Engineer at ALTEN, where they were responsible for electrical component development, project management, and writing/amending Airbus standards and test procedures. In 2010, they became a Project Engineer at Integral Drive Systems. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Staff Engineer Electrical at Woodward, Inc., where they were the lead engineer for application and platform power converter design in the 1-10MW range. Finally, in 2021, they became the R&D Manager at PowiDian, where they lead a team of 25 people, is responsible for the delivery of internal R&D and client projects, and led the company's first ISO9001 certification.
Tom Mielczarski has a diverse educational background. Tom obtained an Engineer's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ENSEEIHT in Toulouse, France between 2000 and 2003. Tom then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Control Systems at Imperial College London between 2002 and 2003. Afterwards, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical Power from Newcastle University between 2006 and 2007.
