Lafe Z.

Lafe Z. has held a variety of engineering roles since 2010. Lafe began their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Research Associate at NASA's National Aeronautics and Space Administration. From 2011 to 2016, they worked as an R&D Mechanical Engineer at Sensing Kyoto KK Japan and a Product Development Engineer at Kids2. Lafe then joined IPG Photonics as a Mechanical Engineer in 2019 and CribMaster as a Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager the same year. Currently, they are the Head of Hardware at Presso since 2021.

Lafe Z. attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2004 to 2008, where they received a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering. Lafe then returned to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2009 to 2011, where they received a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. During this time, Lafe Z. also attended Tohoku University from 2006 to 2007, where they participated in the Junior Year Program in Engineering in Space Robotics.
