Jouko Ahvenainen

Founder & Chairman at Prifina

Jouko Ahvenainen has worked at a range of companies, beginning with Prifina in 2019, where they serve as the Founder and Chairman. In 2009, they became a Co-founder and Executive Chairman at Grow VC Group, and in 2017, they were an EIC Accelerator Expert at the European Commission. In 2022, they became a Strategic Advisor and Investor at B7 Holdings, an Investor and Advisor at Lone Design Club, and an Investor at Sanno. Jouko also became a Strategic Advisor at the University of Helsinki, Digital Humanities in 2020, a Co-Founder at RoboCorp Technologies, Inc. in 2019, and a Senior Partner at Replicon Group in 2003. In 2012, they became a Chairman and Co-founder at Difitek.

Jouko Ahvenainen has a diverse educational background. In 2002, they received an MBA from Aalto University in International Finance, and in the same year they also received an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business in Finance & Venture Capital Studies. From 1987 to 1993 they attended Aalto University and earned an M.Sc. in Computer Science. From 1987 to 2016 they attended the University of Helsinki and earned a B.Soc.Sc. in Social and Moral Philosophy & Economics. In 1992 they attended Grenoble INP - UGA for a summer exchange program in Computer Science. In 1993 and 1994 they attended the Flying Club of the Aalto University (PIK) and earned a Private Pilot License in One-engine aircraft. In 1988 and 1989 they attended The Finnish Defence Forces for a Non Disclosed program. Jouko Ahvenainen also holds additional certifications, including French language intensive studies from the Institut de Francais in December 2022 and a Private Pilot Licence (single engine aircraft) from Traficom, Finland in October 1994.
