Charles then worked as an Associate at Delaney & O'Brien, specializing in insurance defense work, and later as an Associate at Harvey C. Johnson, P.C., representing school boards, municipalities, and plaintiffs in personal injury cases. In 2006, they joined ROSS & RUBINO/STEPHEN C. RUBINO, LLP as an Associate, handling complex litigation involving victims of institutional child abuse.

In 2011, Charles transitioned to being a self-employed Contract Attorney, providing support services for criminal and civil litigation. During this time, they worked with law firms such as Eliss & Winters and Seeger & Weiss, conducting extensive document review, analysis, and drafting legal memoranda.
