Kiran Vajapey

Kiran Vajapey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. They started their career at Workday as an OMS Development Intern in 2013 and later worked as a Product Development Intern at Moat. In 2014, they became a Software Developer at Workday.

In 2015, Kiran co-founded Oystir, a company focused on streamlining job seeking and talent searching processes using skill quantification. They served as the Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Oystir until 2016.

Kiran then joined iSENTIUM, LLC as a Product Architect from 2016 to 2017. They moved on to Figure Eight in 2017 as a Senior HCI Developer until 2020.

Currently, Kiran is working at Primer.ai. They started as a Senior Software Engineer in 2020, then became a Staff Engineer in 2021, and currently hold the position of Director of Engineering.

Kiran Vajapey completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Science at Cornell University from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC San Diego, graduating between 2008 and 2012. Additionally, Kiran has obtained certifications in Improving Deep Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera in 2017.
