John Antonoglu

John Antonoglu has extensive work experience in the field of civil engineering and project management. John started their career at DAI Environmental in 1993, where they worked as a Project Engineer until 1996. John then moved on to ERM, where they held the same position from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, they joined Fluor Daniel GTI/IT Group as a Project Engineer until 2000. Currently, they are employed at Primera Engineers, Ltd. as the Aviation Lead/Senior Civil Engineer. In their role, they are responsible for water resources engineering, civil infrastructure, sustainable design and construction, and project/program management. John specializes in various areas including aviation/airports, storm water treatment, municipal water supply, municipal/industrial wastewater treatment, parks, and mass transit. John is currently working on major projects such as the Master Civil Engineer of the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) O'Hare Modernization Program, stormwater management design for O'Hare21 Program, and sustainability consulting for the CDA Environment Division.

John Antonoglu has a strong education background in environmental engineering and chemistry. John obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1987 to 1991. Following this, they pursued further education and completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Engineering from the same university from 1991 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, John has also obtained several certifications, including Certified Floodplain Manager from the Illinois Association of Floodplain and Stromwater Managers, Envision Sustainability Professional from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure, LEED Accredited Professional from USGBC, and Professional Engineer, Illinois from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
