Michael L. has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Michael is currently working at Privy as COO since 2023. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at Homebot from 2016 to 2022, where they served as COO and co-founder, overseeing the development of an award-winning product in financial services, lending, and real estate. Before Homebot, Michael held a role as VP of Product Management at Envysion from 2013 to 2016, where they focused on marrying multimedia video/audio with operational data. Michael also co-owned and managed an enterprise services subsidiary at Silicon Mountain Technologies from 2012 to 2013. Michael has a strong background in technology and software development, having co-founded SageFire, Inc. in 2006. At SageFire, they held various roles including COO, EVP of Product Management, and Client Management, where they helped develop a B2C and B2B2C SaaS platform for multi-unit retail and franchising industries. Michael also served on the Board of Directors at SageFire from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Michael has experience in high-tech companies such as Massively Parallel Technologies, Inc. as CPO and HyperSpace Communications, Inc. as VP of Product Management and Business Development. Prior to that, they co-founded Avolent, Inc. and played a crucial role in its growth as VP of Product Management and EVP of European Operations. Michael's career started at Systor AG, where they served as Managing Director in Zürich, Switzerland, establishing their consulting and application development practice. Michael also co-founded the Object Technology Center at SHL Systemhouse, which was later acquired by MCI Communications.

Michael L. attended Jenks High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1982 to 1986. Michael then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in International Economics, Marketing, and Management Information Systems at the University of Oklahoma - Price College of Business from 1986 to 1991. In 1989 to 1990, they also completed a Degree Contribution in Closed vs. Open Economies at the Hochschule für Okonomie in former East Berlin. Additionally, in 1991, Michael L. briefly studied German Language and Literature at Technische Universität Braunschweig.
