Phil Bearden

Vice President of New Product Development at Process Technology

Phil Bearden has diverse work experience spanning several industries. Phil began their career at Quality Micro Systems (QMS Inc) as an Electronic Specialist and EMI RFI Test Lab Manager. Phil later worked at Kirby Company as an Engineer and Engineering Testing Lab Manager, where they designed and managed a new Engineering Test Laboratory. At the US Army, they served as a 1SG and retired after almost 22 years of service. Phil then joined Ericson Manufacturing as a Design Engineer and Senior Product Manager, responsible for developing and launching construction jobsite temporary power and lighting products. Phil also implemented a new website with ecommerce ordering. Phil's next role was at Venture Lighting International, where they served as a Design Engineer and Senior Business Development Manager. Phil directed the procurement, re-engineering, launch, and implementation of a wireless IoT lighting control system and designed additional IoT devices for wireless cloud-based applications. Phil briefly took a break from engineering and product design to own and operate a retail business, Suburban Sit, for four years. Currently, they are Vice President of New Product Development at Process Technology, where they oversee the development and introduction of new products. Overall, Phil Bearden has demonstrated a strong ability to adapt and excel in various roles throughout their career.

Phil Bearden's education history includes multiple institutions and degrees. Phil attended Mobile College of Engineering from 1988 to 1992, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Prior to this, from 1986 to 1989, they studied Pre-BSEE Electronics/Engineering Course Work at Faulkner University. In 1997 to 1998, Phil Bearden attended Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General. Additionally, in 1982 to 1983, they attended US ARMY Electronics School, specializing in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering.
