John Blume

John Blume has over thirty years of experience working in the biotechnology industry. John began their career in 1989 as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Hoffmann-La Roche. In 1991, they moved to Novartis as a Senior Assoc. Fellow. In 1997, they joined Metabolex as Vice President of Genomics. In 2002, they became Senior Vice President of Product Development at Affymetrix. In 2008, they took on the role of Chief Science Officer at Applied Proteomics, Inc. In 2016, they joined Drawbridge Health as Scientific Fellow, eventually taking on the roles of Chief Science Officer and Interim Chief Executive Officer. In 2018, they became Distinguished Fellow and Chief Scientist at Seer, followed by a promotion to VP of Research. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Distinguished Scientist at PrognomiQ Inc. and began working as a Biotechnology Consultant.

John Blume received their BS in Biochemistry from Penn State University in 1983 and their PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1989.
